FGM - The practise in Sudan is mutilation and Islam is 100% oposed to it!

Does Islam support or allow Female Circumcision?
YES! But in at a very limited scale … very limited in the practise …
only the end of the clitoris … so it has no impact of the feeling of the women
than as a circumcision of a male.

This is the BASIC practise that is premissible in Islam.

The circumscisin ind Egypt, Sudan and the West-African contries
is an extreme view to ensure that the verginity of a woman involved
… and it is form the pre-Islamic times.

The harm that comes from all of this practise - FGM - Islam prohibits it.

The Muslim Clerics are also in battle among each other, if it is mentioned in the Sunna or not.

the Sheiks in Mogadishu have made a Fatwa against female circumcision and said this is not-islamic and forbid it.

But to assert it, it will not come. Because e. g. Sudan and Somalia has anothter law system (of the four islamic law systems) and they says, that female circumcision is OK in Islam and it is mentioned in the Sunna and it is not forbidden.

The other islamic states have no official opinion and they tollerate (or suffer) it.
